Love for color and design led me to the creation of my abstract art pieces.

The decisions I make when painting with oil pastels are mainly intuitive and instinctive. I find the act of painting (and scraping) with oil pastels very much like discovering hidden treasures.

My technique involves scraping over layers and layers of oil pastel colors on watercolor paper, Bristol paper and pastel paper with various blades and knives, until a design occurs. I am fascinated by the unusual color combinations that emerge.

I hope my paintings fill the viewer with the same energy and excitement with which I applied every layer of color.
