Carolyn Ratcliffe
had the opportunity to travel extensively and as a past certified scuba diver, hiker and kayaker, she developed a deep appreciation for the natural world. Her paintings are influenced by her travels and the amazing elements that create a beautiful landscapes. It is her hope to convey to the viewer a feeling of wonder and reflection.
Carolyn paints with pastel, watercolor and more recent oils.  She currently exhibits her art in Charlottesville and the surrounding area.

She is a member of:  Piedmont Pastelists, Charlottesville;              Central Virginia Watercolor Guild, Charlottesville; MidAtlantic Pastel Society; and Shenandoah Valley Art Center, Waynesboro
