Membership 

BozART Fine Art Collective is a group of artists working in a variety of two-dimensional media, including oils, acrylics, photography, watercolor, pastel, and mixed media. Our mission is to create opportunities for artists to exhibit their work in the Central Virginia area and to learn from one another. Members work together to plan shows, share tasks and information, and build community along the way. 


What BozART Offers
 
• Exhibition opportunities in Central Virginia. Each show is organized by a member who coordinates
  what's needed for a successful exhibit. 

• A shared website, including an individual page for each member's artist statement, current artwork,      and contact information. 

• Social media presence on Facebook and Instagram, where members can share news and images. • A          quarterly e-newsletter sent to hundreds of followers. 

• Guidance on venues and publicity for member events. 

• Regular communication to keep members informed of BozART's news and opportunities. • Member            meetings, held in person or by Zoom, to plan shows and discuss ideas. 

• An annual holiday party. 

• Shared files and resources through Google Drive, including detailed information on venues, members,      and more. New members are oriented to how our group's information is organized. 


What We Ask of Our Members

• Attend at least three meetings per year (in person or by Zoom). 

• Actively practice your craft and stay engaged with your art. 

• Present your work in professional-quality framing. (See our exhibit guidelines for framing standards.)

• Contribute your skills to support the group's efforts. 

• Attend receptions for group exhibits, whether or not your own work is featured. • Volunteer to help        with exhibits, documentation, publicity, or other BozART activities. 


How to Join 

We welcome applications from artists who share our commitment to creating and exhibiting art in Central Virginia.

To apply: 

1) Download and complete the Membership Application (fillable PDF). 

2) Review the Application Instructions for full details on submitting your artist statement, images, and      application fee. 

3) A non-refundable $20 application fee is required. 


Our Selection Committee meets with prospective members twice a year to review portfolios in person. 
In-person portfolio review dates are in October and April.
