Sara Gondwe

Sara Gondwe, self-taught, mixed media artist, creates with scraped bits of crayons on canvas, then substitutes an iron for a paintbrush -- melting, combining, and shaping the colors into a design.  Followed by applying bright acrylic paints, using the tip of the tube as the brush.  The award winning artist moved to Charlottesville in 2013.  "Art for me is a process of experimentation, discovery, design and color.  My goal is to create art that is inspiring and a delight to the eye of the viewers"- Ms Gondwe

Fluvanna Review, May 2016: " Her mixed media Insects in the Grass was bold, colorful and expressive and seemed to set a new standard for looking at art."  To purchase her work, contact:  sarajayn@live.com
