Andy Stafford
"I strive to capture and share what I feel when I explore - an emotional synergy of awe, discovery, challenge, peace, and happiness. My photos are meant provide that same magic when viewed, to empower people to see the world in a different light, a unique light, and ultimately to inspire them to go explore as well." - A. Stafford Andy was raised west of Charlottesville, Virginia, Andy started taking pictures at a young age on family road trips. After graduating from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, in Marketing and International Business and inspiration from the Banff Mountain Film Festival, he began his backpacking adventures around the world. Largely influenced by the traditional works of Ansel Adams and everything between the covers of National Geographic, Andy focused on capturing travel shots combined with what he would call “epic” landscapes. Through experimentation, he gradually increased his night photography, where he could be more creative with long exposures and scene lighting. Thirty countries and thousands of photos later, he has amassed not only amazing friends and memories from around the world, but a stunning portfolio of international works. He currently lives in White Hall where he enjoys exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains of his backyard. If interested in purchasing his photos, email [email protected] |
