Joan Dreicer
Joan paints to create a mood. Her art conveys the emotion that she feels as she interacts with her subject. Her paintings are an expression of the beauty she sees. By use of color relationships, shapes, light and shadow, she communicates to the viewer. She paints landscapes, portraits and still life in oils and pastels. She is influenced by contemporary artists: Rose Frantzen, David Kassan, Robert Liberace, Liz Haywood Sullivan, Richard McKinley, Alain Picard and most recently, Jacob Aquiar. Painters from the past who inspire me: Cassatt, Degas, Renoir, Vermeer, Sorrolla, Sergeant and Robert Henri.
