Julia Lesnichy grew up in Russia studying science and music. At age 26, a sunlit sky inspired her to paint for the first time. Taking private lessons and workshops, she has developed her own style. As she paints, she reveals the way the light creates beauty in landscapes and animals. Julia now lives with her family in Crozet, VA where she finds inspiration among the tree tops and mountains. She admires Monet’s skill to observe the effects of nature and depict them loosely with a thick application of color. She also enjoys works by Childe Hassam, Theodore Robinson and Henry Hensche.

By just knowing the family background of Julia Lesnichy, I can assume that her family is one of her biggest inspirations in painting. She grew up with them with treetops and mountains as her view that's why she was exposed to art even then. When your family support you wholeheartedly, you are more driven and passionate to do things on your own. I am sure that painting wouldn't be this close to her heart if her family does not support her!
